Our students come from families where English is not the primary language, making your role all the more crucial in bridging the language gap.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons to students in classes 6-8, catering to diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies to promote English language proficiency among students
- Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement
- Participate in school events, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated on best practices
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement English language curriculum and assessment strategies
- Engage with parents through regular progress updates, meetings, and workshops to ensure effective communication and parental involvement
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to English language education
- Participate in extracurricular activities, such as debate clubs, literary societies, and language exchange programs, to promote English language skills outside the classroom
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in English or a related field and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
