PGT Environmental Studies Teacher Position at Miet Public School in Sardana, Meerut
Miet Public School in Sardana, Meerut, seeks a dedicated PGT Environmental Studies (Evs) Teacher to strengthen its science curriculum with expertise in environmental science. This role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about shaping future environmental stewards through hands-on learning. The selected candidate will play a key role in designing and delivering advanced environmental studies programs aligned with school syllabi.
The core responsibilities include developing engaging lesson plans that integrate real-world environmental issues, fostering critical thinking through case studies, and encouraging student participation in eco-projects. You will also conduct regular assessments to evaluate understanding, ensuring students grasp concepts like sustainability, climate change, and conservation. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with other science teachers to integrate environmental themes across subjects, ensuring a cohesive learning experience.
Beyond classroom instruction, you’ll mentor junior teachers in teaching methods for environmental studies, participate in school workshops, and contribute to extracurricular activities like science fairs or nature-based learning initiatives. Maintaining updated teaching resources and staying informed about emerging environmental science research will be essential for your role.
For this position, a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Science, or a related field is mandatory, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in environmental studies or science subjects, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be highly beneficial for career advancement.
