PGT History Teacher Job in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
Miet Public School invites a passionate History Teacher to join its faculty as a PGT History Teacher. This role focuses on delivering high-quality History education, aligning with the school’s commitment to fostering critical thinking and civic awareness among students. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in shaping young minds through engaging lessons on India’s past, colonial history, and contemporary events.
Teaching responsibilities include designing and delivering lectures, using interactive methods like debates, document analysis, and field trips to enhance learning. The PGT will also prepare and assess unit-wise exams, ensuring students grasp historical concepts with depth. Collaborating with the History department and coordinating with grade-level teachers will help maintain curriculum consistency and student progress.
A postgraduate degree in History with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this position. Three years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in schools, is required. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, a valid certificate can be an added advantage. Strong communication skills, adaptability to diverse student needs, and a commitment to Miet Public School’s values are essential.
The PGT History Teacher will work in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on a full-time basis, offering a competitive salary of Rs.21,000 to Rs.35,000 per month. Experience with CBSE/ICSE syllabus and student behavior management will be highly beneficial.
