What You Will Do
As a PGT History Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to teach History to students in grades 9-12. Your tasks will include:
- Creating lesson plans that cater to diverse learning levels and styles
- Delivering engaging and interactive lectures on various historical periods and themes
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to ensure students are meeting learning objectives
- Providing individualized support to students who require extra help
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Participating in school events and activities that promote History and culture
- Developing and maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment
- Engaging with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress
- Staying updated with the latest developments in History and curriculum changes
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A postgraduate degree in History or related field
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree
- 2 years of experience in teaching History
- Strong knowledge of Indian History and the ability to teach it at the secondary level
