Scope of the Role
In this role, the teacher conducts daily lessons in Zoology, prepares laboratory activities, and manages classroom discussions on animal biology. The position requires active participation in school events and science fairs, ensuring students gain practical exposure to zoological concepts.
Core Academic Duties
Teaching is focused on delivering the curriculum for grades 10 to 12, covering topics such as taxonomy, physiology, ecology, and wildlife conservation. The teacher designs experiments, demonstrates dissections, and uses multimedia resources to illustrate complex biological processes.
Assessment and Planning Duties
The teacher prepares unit plans, conducts formative assessments, and evaluates student performance through quizzes, projects, and lab reports. Lesson plans are aligned with the state syllabus and updated to reflect current zoological research and environmental issues.
Qualification and Experience
Post‑graduate qualification in Zoology or a related field is mandatory. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required for teaching positions; TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting is expected.
Salary and Location
