As a subject matter expert, the successful candidate will assume a key leadership role within the school, mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of the Computer Science department.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Computer Science curriculum aligned with CBSE guidelines.
- Teach Computer Science to classes VI to XII, including programming, data structures, and software engineering.
- Mentor and support junior staff members, providing guidance on teaching methodologies and curriculum design.
- Analyze and improve board results for Computer Science subjects, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement assessment strategies, ensuring fair and consistent evaluation.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to decision-making processes affecting the school and department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local IT industries and educational institutions, fostering partnerships and collaborations.
- Contribute to the school's community service initiatives, promoting digital literacy and IT awareness among students and staff.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Computer Science, incorporating relevant technologies and trends into the curriculum.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, evaluations, and other administrative tasks as required.
Who Can Apply
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a recognized school, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory, while NET or SET certification is preferred.
