You will teach English to 25-30 students in each section, keeping lessons interactive and age-appropriate. The school follows CBSE curriculum with emphasis on phonics, grammar, and storytelling. Students come from diverse backgrounds, so adapting your teaching style is key to keeping them engaged.
Key Responsibilities
Plan weekly English lessons aligned with CBSE syllabus and school planner.
Use storytelling, role-play, and audio-visual aids to make language learning enjoyable.
Conduct regular reading sessions in the library corner to build vocabulary.
Assess students through informal quizzes, worksheets, and speaking activities.
Prepare students for school events like elocution and poetry recitation competitions.
Maintain daily attendance and update progress notes in the school ERP system.
Coordinate with parents during PTMs to share student improvements in English.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
Valid TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in primary English.
Familiarity with CBSE English textbooks for classes 1-5.
