This role focuses on shaping young minds while nurturing physical well-being, teamwork, and discipline. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for sports, creativity in lesson planning, and a passion for student growth in a dynamic school environment.
The PRT will design and deliver age-appropriate physical education classes, ensuring students participate in games, athletics, and fitness activities. Daily instruction includes drills, team sports like football or basketball, and individual skills training. The teacher must adapt activities to meet diverse student abilities while maintaining safety standards. Coaching extracurricular sports teams, organizing inter-house competitions, and promoting a culture of sportsmanship are key responsibilities.
A strong emphasis is placed on fostering physical literacy—teaching fundamental movement skills, improving coordination, and building endurance. The PRT will collaborate with the school’s PE coordinator to plan annual sports events, such as tournaments or fitness challenges, ensuring they align with academic and extracurricular goals. Classroom management skills are essential to maintain order while keeping students motivated and involved.
Experience in teaching physical education to students aged 6–12 is preferred, though candidates with relevant sports background or coaching certifications will be considered. A graduate degree in education with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, a teaching license would be an asset. The role requires full-time commitment, including attendance at school events and occasional travel for competitions or training sessions.
This position offers a competitive salary of Rs.13,000 to Rs.30,000 per month, along with opportunities to grow within a progressive educational institution. The school values innovation in sports pedagogy and encourages candidates who can blend theory with hands-on experience to create memorable learning experiences for students.
