Role
The Special Educator for Child Health Nursing at Miet Public School in Sardana, Meerut, will design and deliver specialized health education programs tailored to young learners. Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate health education modules covering nutrition, hygiene, disease prevention, and basic first aid. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities or learning challenges, ensuring all students engage meaningfully in health-related activities.
Work with the school’s special education team to integrate child health topics into regular classes, ensuring alignment with national curriculum guidelines. Organize hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and interactive sessions to make health learning engaging and practical.
Maintain detailed records of student health progress and provide feedback to parents on their child’s health awareness development. Participate in school health fairs and community outreach programs to promote wellness beyond the classroom.
Requirements
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized university to qualify for teaching roles in schools. A graduate degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Three years of experience in special education, health education, or child development will be highly beneficial.
Experience in teaching health concepts to young children, particularly those with varying abilities, is essential. Familiarity with TET/CTET guidelines is advantageous but not mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education are required.
Compensation
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 45,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
