About This Role
International Public School uses smart boards, cloud-based labs, and real-time analytics to track student progress in Computer Science. The TGT Computer Science Teacher will plan lessons that combine theory with hands-on coding and project work. Students work on Python, HTML, and basic networking from Grade 6 onwards, so the teacher must be comfortable demonstrating these tools live.
Teaching Approach
Lessons are delivered through Google Classroom and the school’s LMS, with blended learning days scheduled every Thursday. Smart boards are used for live coding sessions and algorithm walkthroughs. Students submit assignments via the LMS, and the teacher reviews them with inline comments and automated test cases. Regular flipped-classroom activities are planned to reinforce concepts outside class.
Key Responsibilities
Design weekly lesson plans aligned to CBSE Computer Science syllabus for Grades 6-8.
Prepare daily smart board presentations for topics like data types, loops, and basic databases.
Upload practice sheets, Python starter kits, and quiz links on Google Classroom every Monday.
Conduct two lab sessions per week where students write and debug small programs.
Assess practical files, project work, and term-end papers using the LMS grading system.
Organize inter-house coding competitions twice a semester using the school’s LAN setup.
Coordinate with the IT department to maintain lab machines and update software before each term.
Attend monthly pedagogy workshops on integrating AI tools into school curriculum.
Eligibility Criteria
Post-graduate degree in Computer Science/Applications or MCA with minimum 55% marks.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with Computer Science as a teaching subject.
Three years of full-time teaching experience in a secondary school.
Familiarity with Python, Scratch, or similar tools used in middle school CS.
Basic understanding of Google Workspace and LMS platforms.
