Role Summary
As a senior member of the English department at International Public School, you will have the opportunity to take on a leadership role in shaping the curriculum and educational outcomes of our students. What You Will Do
- Develop and implement the English curriculum for classes 9-12, ensuring alignment with CBSE guidelines and International Public School's academic policies.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
- Analyze board results and identify areas for improvement, developing strategies to enhance student performance.
- Collaborate with other department heads to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
- Conduct regular teacher evaluations, providing constructive feedback and support for professional growth.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and educational institutions to enhance the school's reputation and opportunities.
- Supervise and guide students in extracurricular activities, such as debates, quizzes, and literary clubs.
- Stay up-to-date with latest developments in English language teaching and learning, applying this knowledge to improve teaching practices.
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to English language teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree (M.A./M.Sc. in English) with a valid B.Ed. from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an English medium school.
- NET or SET qualified candidates will be given preference.
- Strong understanding of CBSE guidelines and curriculum requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage staff.
