Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Psychology, incorporating a range of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adjusting instruction accordingly.
- Provide individualized support to students who require additional help, and offer extension activities for those who need a challenge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and track student progress over time.
- Develop and maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages active learning and participation.
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in teaching Psychology.
- Participate in school-wide professional development programs to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Psychology (M.A. or M.Sc.)
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Psychology or a related field
- TET or CTET certification (not required, but preferred)
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a school setting
Preferred Skills
- Experience in teaching Psychology to Senior Secondary students
- Familiarity with inclusive pedagogy and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy in working with students from diverse backgrounds
