Key Responsibilities
The LIBRARIAN will be responsible for the following duties:
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the school library, including supervising library staff and ensuring the smooth functioning of library services
* Developing and implementing library policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of library resources
* Maintaining the cataloging, classification, and preservation of library materials, including books, journals, and digital resources
* Providing training and support to students and faculty on the use of library resources and information literacy skills
* Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement instructional materials and programs that promote literacy and research skills
* Managing library budgets and resources to ensure optimal use of funds and materials
* Liaising with other departments to ensure seamless integration of library services with curriculum and instructional programs
* Developing and implementing programs to promote literacy, research, and information literacy skills among students
* Maintaining accurate records and reports on library usage and circulation statistics
* Participating in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in library management and services
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates should possess a minimum of a graduate degree and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. A background in library and information science, education, or a related field is desirable.
