About This Role
Springdale College invites applications for the post of PGT English in our college. The Department of English at Springdale College is looking for a qualified and experienced teacher to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language and literature to undergraduate students.
What You Will Do
As a PGT English, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Teaching English language and literature to undergraduate students.
- Preparing and delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, and mentoring students.
- Conducting internal and external examinations, invigilation, and evaluation of student performance.
- Developing and revising the English curriculum in line with the University's syllabus and guidelines.
- Maintaining student records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Participating in departmental meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Engaging in extracurricular activities such as literary events, debates, and cultural festivals.
Who Can Apply
Applicants for the post of PGT English must have a Master's degree in English with a minimum of 55% marks. A Ph.D. in English is preferred but not essential. Candidates who have cleared UGC-NET or SET are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor. For non-Ph.D. candidates, NET or SET is mandatory.
Research Opportunities
Springdale College encourages its faculty members to pursue research in their areas of interest. The successful candidate will be expected to publish research papers in national and international journals, present papers at conferences, and participate in academic workshops and seminars. The college provides a conducive research environment, access to libraries, and funding for research projects.
Perks and Pay
