What You Will Do
Design and implement advanced Physical Education curricula aligned with UGC and NCTE standards for undergraduate programs at Springdale College. Mentor junior faculty members in pedagogy, assessment design, and student engagement strategies for Physical Education courses. Oversee end-semester practical examinations, sports tournaments, and fitness assessments across the college campus.
Coordinate inter-college sports events and represent Springdale College in university-level sports committees and competitions. Lead research initiatives in sports science, physical fitness measurement, and curriculum innovation within the Physical Education department. Guide senior students in project work, dissertations, and sports psychology research projects.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Physical Education with minimum 55% marks and Ph.D. in Sports Science or Physical Education from a UGC-recognized university. Minimum 8 years of full-time college teaching experience in Physical Education, including 3 years at the PGT level or above. NET/SET qualified with preference for candidates who have served as Associate Professor or Professor in Physical Education.
NET/SET qualification is mandatory for Assistant Professor positions at Springdale College. Candidates with Ph.D. in Physical Education or Sports Science will be given preference during selection. Experience in curriculum development, sports administration, and department leadership is essential.
Research & Publications
