The reality of this role
Teaching Mathematics to classes IX to XII at Delhi Public School means preparing lesson plans that align with the NCERT syllabus, conducting daily classroom sessions, and guiding students through problem‑solving practice. You will handle periodic assessments, clear doubts after school, and collaborate with senior faculty for curriculum enrichment. The role also involves occasional parent‑teacher meetings and participation in school events.
What you will actually do
- Deliver engaging Mathematics lectures for TGT sections, covering algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus.
- Create and mark worksheets, quizzes and unit tests, providing timely feedback.
- Organize remedial classes for students who need extra support in concepts.
- Use digital tools and smart boards to illustrate complex topics.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to syllabus updates.
- Mentor junior teachers and assist in their lesson planning.
- Supervise the school maths club and prepare students for Olympiads and inter‑school competitions.
- Maintain attendance and academic records as per school policy.
Who can do this job
Candidates must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed and a postgraduate degree in Mathematics or a related field. Minimum five years of teaching experience in a recognized school is required. TET/CTET certification is preferred. Experience with CBSE curriculum is essential.
