Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging history lessons aligned with the Uttar Pradesh Board syllabus, ensuring students grasp key historical events and concepts. Develop innovative teaching methods to make history interactive, such as using local case studies from Pratapgarh’s heritage or regional history. Collaborate with senior teachers to refine lesson plans and assess student progress effectively. Organize extracurricular activities like history clubs or cultural events to enhance learning beyond textbooks. Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to school-wide academic planning.
Qualifications
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in History. Strong subject knowledge in Indian history, especially from the 19th to 21st centuries, is essential. Experience in teaching at the senior secondary level is highly valued.
Experience
A minimum of four years of teaching experience in schools, preferably in History or a related subject. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and assessment techniques is a plus. Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh’s educational curriculum and local historical resources would be advantageous.
