You’ll mentor junior teachers, ensuring consistent quality across the department, and participate in curriculum planning sessions. Keeping abreast of emerging science education trends and integrating them into the curriculum is essential. Regularly reviewing and updating the school’s science textbook adoption policy will be another key duty.
Qualified candidates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree will be considered, along with a graduate degree in science. A TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in teaching science to classes 1-8 is highly valued, with at least one year of relevant classroom experience. A passion for fostering scientific curiosity and a commitment to inclusive teaching methods are essential.
