Responsibilities
- Design and conduct engaging PE lessons for classes XI and XII, aligning with the state curriculum and school goals.
- Develop age‑appropriate fitness routines, games and extracurricular sports activities.
- Organise inter‑school competitions, annual sports day and intra‑school tournaments.
- Monitor student progress, maintain attendance records and prepare performance reports.
- Ensure safety standards are met during all physical activities and manage equipment inventory.
- Coach teams in athletics, football, basketball or other popular sports as needed.
- Collaborate with senior faculty to integrate health education and wellness initiatives.
- Conduct regular assessments, practical exams and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor junior teachers and assist in curriculum updates for the PE department.
- Liaise with parents regarding student participation, performance and any health concerns.
Qualification, experience, salary, location
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a related field, complemented by a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level is required. Preference will be given to those with TET/CTET certification. The role offers a salary of Rs.37,000 – Rs.55,000 per month and is based in Karchhana, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This is a full‑time appointment at Saint Johns Academy.
