- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans for senior secondary Zoology, aligning with the state syllabus and school objectives.
- Utilize a mix of lectures, laboratory experiments, field trips, and multimedia resources to foster critical thinking and inquiry skills.
- Prepare and assess periodic tests, assignments, and project work, ensuring timely feedback for student progress.
- Integrate interdisciplinary concepts, linking Zoology with Biology, Ecology, and Environmental Science to provide a holistic learning experience.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, attendance sheets, and academic performance reports for each student.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Mentor and guide students in science fairs, inter-school competitions, and extracurricular activities related to biology and nature studies.
- Collaborate with other science teachers to coordinate cross-disciplinary projects and school science events.
- Keep the laboratory and teaching aids organized, safe, and updated, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student performance, classroom behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Contribute to the school’s academic calendar by suggesting relevant field trips, guest lectures, and community outreach programs.
Qualification, experience, salary, location
The ideal candidate holds a post‑graduate degree in Zoology, with a minimum of two years of teaching experience in a school setting. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required, and TET/CTET certifications are a plus. The position is full‑time, offering a competitive salary ranging from Rs.34,000 to Rs.50,000 per month, based in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
