PRT Music Teacher Job in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
Senior Music Department Leadership Role
Khelgaon Public School is building a vibrant music program under experienced leadership. This position offers a chance to shape the school’s musical identity while guiding young learners from classes 1 to 5. The PRT Music Teacher will work closely with the Head of Department to develop age-appropriate lesson plans and assess student progress through regular performances and assessments.
What You Will Do
Oversee the entire music curriculum for primary classes, ensuring alignment with CBSE guidelines. Plan and conduct weekly music classes for grades 1 to 5, integrating vocal, instrumental, and rhythmic activities. Lead school assemblies, inter-house music competitions, and annual day performances to showcase student talent across Prayagraj.
Design and implement assessments for music proficiency, recording progress in student portfolios. Mentor two to three junior music teachers, organizing monthly training sessions on classroom management and creative teaching methods. Prepare students for inter-school music festivals and state-level cultural events in Uttar Pradesh.
Collaborate with art and dance departments to create cross-curricular projects that highlight Indian classical and folk traditions. Organize workshops with visiting artists from Allahabad to enrich the learning experience. Monitor student participation and engagement, submitting quarterly reports to the school leadership.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in Music with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Music Education is mandatory. TET or CTET qualification is preferred but not compulsory.
At least 5 years of teaching experience in primary music education, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school. Familiarity with Hindustani classical, Carnatic, or Western music pedagogy is essential. Experience in organizing school concerts and managing junior faculty will be considered an advantage.
