TGT English Teacher Job in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
Teaching English to classes 6 to 8 at A.n Public School means planning daily lessons that cover grammar, literature, and writing. You will mark notebooks every evening and attend staff meetings twice a week. Classroom management in a school of 30 students requires clear routines and firm but kind handling. The school follows the CBSE pattern, so you will align your lessons with the prescribed syllabus and use standard textbooks.
What you will actually do
Prepare lesson plans for prose, poetry, grammar, and writing skills for each grade.
Conduct daily English periods with interactive methods like discussions, role-plays, and writing exercises.
Check notebooks regularly and give feedback in red pen with corrections.
Organize monthly tests and maintain accurate attendance registers.
Prepare students for the annual examination by revising key topics and giving sample papers.
Attend PTMs to discuss each child’s progress with parents.
Participate in school events like elocution competitions and English week activities.
Keep the classroom library tidy and ensure books are issued on time.
Who can do this job
Postgraduate in English with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of teaching English to middle school students.
TET or CTET is preferred but not mandatory.
What you need to bring
Strong command over grammar, literature, and writing skills in English.
Patience to explain concepts to students at different levels.
Ability to maintain discipline without harshness.
Willingness to work in a team and follow school rules.
