This is a senior Political Science department role at L.s.p Public School, Powayan, Shahjahanpur. Key Responsibilities

Own the yearly curriculum roadmap for Political Science, including resource creation, assessment design, and project-based learning modules.
Mentor two to three junior teachers in pedagogy, classroom management, and subject matter expertise. Conduct demonstration lessons and provide constructive feedback focused on student engagement and concept clarity. Lead department meetings twice a month to review progress, share best practices, and address subject-specific challenges.
Monitor student performance in board exams and internal assessments. Identify at-risk students early and coordinate with the guidance team for targeted interventions. Organize annual mock tests, paper discussions, and parent-teacher sessions to maintain transparency and academic rigor.
Coordinate with the school’s activity coordinators to integrate Political Science concepts into Model United Nations, debates, and social science exhibitions. Represent the department in inter-school competitions and academic forums in Uttar Pradesh.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Political Science with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed degree from an NCTE-recognized institution is mandatory. Teaching experience of at least 5 years in senior secondary schools, with at least 3 years in a PGT capacity.
TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with CBSE Political Science syllabus and examination patterns is essential. Candidates with NET or SET in Political Science will be given preference during selection.
