Position summary
Rana Public School | Powayan is hiring a full‑time TGT English Teacher for its Powayan campus in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The role involves delivering the English curriculum to secondary classes, fostering language proficiency and critical thinking among students, and contributing to the school’s academic environment.
Reporting and scope
The teacher will report to the Head of Department – English.
Core duties
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the state syllabus, incorporating reading, writing, grammar and speaking activities.
Assess student performance through periodic tests, assignments and projects, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records.
Prepare supplementary teaching materials, visual aids and digital resources to enhance classroom interaction.
Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, school events and co‑curricular activities that promote language learning.
Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate cross‑subject projects and support the overall academic programme.
Maintain classroom discipline, ensure a safe learning environment and uphold the school’s code of conduct.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in English or related discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation and location
Salary ranges from Rs.17,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, payable as per school policy.
