Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that blend traditional Indian dance forms with modern techniques. Collaborate with the arts department to integrate dance into interdisciplinary projects, fostering creativity and cultural awareness. Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs. Organize school events, performances, and workshops to showcase students’ talent, including local festivals like Diwali or Eid celebrations.
Qualifications
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree to qualify for a PRT position in Uttar Pradesh. A strong foundation in dance, ideally from a recognized institution, is essential. Familiarity with TET/CTET guidelines is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in teaching children is a plus, especially in a multicultural setting like Scottish International School.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in schools with a focus on arts or physical education. Knowledge of Indian classical and folk dances, along with basic music theory, will be highly valued.
