About This Role
Arise India Public School is seeking a qualified and experienced History Teacher to join our faculty as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in History. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History to students in classes 11 and 12.
What You Will Do
1. Teach History to classes 11 and 12, following the CBSE curriculum.
2. Prepare and deliver lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations.
3. Develop and implement engaging teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
4. Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support students in achieving academic goals.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement extracurricular activities.
6. Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance.
7. Participate in school events, such as festivals, fairs, and competitions.
8. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- Post Graduate degree in History or related subject from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. with a valid TET/CTET certificate.
Good to Have:
- Experience in teaching History in a school setting.
- Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum and assessment methods.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian history, with a focus on the NCERT syllabus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Familiarity with educational technology, such as learning management systems.
- Willingness to attend professional development workshops and training programs.
