Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned PGT Sociology Teacher to join our faculty at Arise India Public School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Sociology to students in grades 11 and 12, developing curriculum, and contributing to the school's academic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Sociology to students in grades 11 and 12, using innovative and research-based methods
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations
- Prepare and deliver lectures, discussions, and presentations on various Sociology topics
- Create and distribute course materials, including handouts, worksheets, and study guides
- Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records
- Participate in faculty meetings, staff development programs, and school events
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and extracurricular programs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning
- Stay updated with curriculum developments, educational research, and best practices in Sociology teaching
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Sociology or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting. Preference will be given to candidates with a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree and a valid TET/CTET certificate.
