- A post-graduate degree in English (M.A. or M.Com) with a specialization in English Literature
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree to qualify for teaching positions
- Preferably, CTET or TET certification to demonstrate teaching expertise
