PGT Political Science Teacher Job in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
Role Summary
St Xaviers Sr Sec School Sultanpur is seeking a PGT Political Science Teacher to shape informed citizens for Sadar and beyond. The role involves teaching Grades 11-12 with sensitivity to diverse learning needs and local realities. Experience of at least four years in Political Science at senior secondary level is essential.
Who You Will Teach
You will teach students from varied socio-economic backgrounds in Sadar, Sultanpur. Some learners may need extra support with analytical texts or exam formats. Your classroom will reflect the linguistic and cultural mix of the locality.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare and deliver Political Science lessons aligned with CBSE guidelines for Classes 11-12. Use local examples from Sultanpur’s governance, state policies, and national debates to make theory relatable. Provide extra sessions for students struggling with constitutional articles or political theories.
Assess students through regular tests, projects, and viva voce to track conceptual clarity. Organize model parliament sessions where students debate issues like GST, NRC, or Uttar Pradesh’s farm laws. Mentor students preparing for competitive exams such as UPSC Prelims or State PSC.
Collaborate with the Social Science department to plan inter-house quizzes and essay competitions on political themes. Maintain updated teaching aids including charts on electoral processes, maps of administrative divisions, and timelines of constitutional amendments.
Support inclusive education by adapting materials for visually impaired learners using screen readers and tactile maps. Conduct parent-teacher meetings in Hindi and English to discuss student progress in Political Science.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Political Science with minimum 55% marks. B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution. Four years of full-time teaching experience in Political Science at senior secondary level is mandatory.
