About This Role
Delhi Public School Varanasi seeks a seasoned Marching Band Instructor to lead and manage the school’s marching band program. The role focuses on coordinating performances, rehearsals, and competitions while ensuring adherence to school policies and safety standards.
What You Will Do
1. Plan and conduct regular rehearsals, setting clear objectives for each session.
2. Select repertoire suitable for school events and regional competitions.
3. Organize and supervise performances at school assemblies, cultural festivals, and public events.
4. Coordinate logistics for travel, instruments, and equipment maintenance.
5. Mentor band members, fostering teamwork and discipline.
6. Liaise with school administration to schedule practice times and secure venues.
7. Prepare detailed reports on band activities for senior management.
8. Promote the band’s presence through local media and community outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree (any discipline).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marching band leadership.
- Proficiency in computer applications for scheduling and reporting.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed preferred, though not mandatory for this administrative role.
