Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging chemistry lessons, ensuring alignment with the syllabus while adapting teaching methods for diverse learning levels. Demonstrate experiments and practical demonstrations in the lab, maintaining safety protocols and encouraging student participation. Review student progress through quizzes, assignments, and periodic assessments to identify strengths and areas needing improvement. Collaborate with classmates to create interactive study materials, such as visual aids or project-based activities, to enhance understanding of complex chemical concepts.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Prepare detailed lesson plans incorporating real-world applications of chemistry, such as environmental science or industrial processes, to make concepts relatable. Monitor student attendance and overall academic performance, providing timely feedback to parents and students through regular communication. Participate in school-wide chemistry workshops or teacher training sessions to stay updated on innovative teaching techniques. Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs, like science fairs or chemistry clubs, to boost student engagement outside the classroom.
Periodic Responsibilities
Assess students’ end-of-term exams and prepare reports summarizing their performance, including recommendations for improvement. Organize periodic lab clean-up and inventory checks to ensure the chemistry department operates efficiently and safely. Collaborate with the principal or head of department to review curriculum updates, textbook selections, and resource allocation for chemistry programs.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Chemistry or a related science subject. Two years of teaching experience in chemistry or a science subject at the secondary level is essential. A TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in Hindi and English are required, along with a deep understanding of the NCERT curriculum for Class 9 to 12.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a full-time salary of Rs.22,000 to Rs.40,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
