Plan and deliver the Social Science curriculum for classes IX and X in line with the Uttar Pradesh Board guidelines. Conduct interactive lessons that incorporate local history, geography and civics, making learning relevant to students in Varanasi. Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Organise field trips to nearby heritage sites and museums to enhance experiential learning. Maintain classroom discipline and foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity. Participate in school events, parent‑teacher meetings and continuous professional development programmes.
Qualification
Candidate must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree along with a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline. TET or CTET qualification is preferred and will be considered an advantage. The role requires a sound understanding of Social Science content and pedagogical methods suitable for the Indian school system.
Experience
Minimum two years of full‑time teaching experience in Social Science at the secondary level is required. Experience in preparing students for board examinations and conducting co‑curricular activities will be valued.
Salary and employment type
The position is a full‑time appointment with a salary range of Rs.22,000 - Rs.40,000 per month. Other statutory benefits as per school policy will be applicable.
