What You Will Do
Teach core and elective courses in Embedded Systems, Microcontrollers, RTOS, and IoT at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervise final-year projects and dissertation work, ensuring alignment with current industry needs and research trends.
Provide academic guidance to students, including career counseling in embedded systems, internship placements, and entrepreneurship support through the institute’s incubation cell. Participate in board of studies meetings to update syllabi based on emerging technologies like RISC-V and edge AI. Contribute to the development of MOOCs and flipped classroom modules for wider reach.
Engage in departmental administration by assisting in organizing technical fests, hackathons, and industry-academia webinars. Collaborate with the training and placement cell to align curriculum with recruitment demands from companies like HCL, Wipro, and local embedded startups in Dehradun.
Required Qualifications
A full-time postgraduate degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with specialization in Embedded Systems or VLSI is mandatory. A Ph.D. in Embedded Systems, Robotics, or related fields is preferred, especially for candidates with research publications in IEEE/Scopus-indexed journals.
Candidates with UGC-NET qualified status are eligible if Ph.D. is not completed. Industry experience of at least one year in embedded product development, firmware engineering, or IoT solutions is highly desirable. Familiarity with PCB design tools like KiCad or Altium, and experience with certification platforms such as ARM Accredited Engineer, will be advantageous.
