ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Communication Systems in Dehradun, Uttarakhand | University Recruitment
Job Overview
Tulas Institute’s Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is recognized for its strong research base in Communication Systems. Day-to-Day Duties
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, and Wireless Networks. Prepare lecture notes, lab manuals, and e-content aligned with UGC norms.
Conduct laboratory sessions on FPGA-based communication systems and MATLAB simulations for real-time signal processing. Supervise B.Tech and M.Tech project work in areas such as MIMO systems and optical fiber communication.
Engage in sponsored research projects under DST or UGC schemes relevant to communication technologies. Publish findings in Scopus-indexed journals and present at regional or national conferences.
Contribute to curriculum design and revision for B.Tech ECE and M.Tech Communication Systems programs. Organize workshops and short-term courses on IoT and 5G with industry partners in Dehradun.
Maintain industry linkages to facilitate internships and placement for students. Guide students in participating in national-level competitions like Smart India Hackathon.
Coordinate departmental events such as seminars and guest lectures by experts from ISRO or DRDO. Participate in academic audits and NAAC accreditation processes.
Contribute to university committees on research, innovation, and student welfare. Mentor students for higher studies and competitive exams like GATE and NET.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Communication Systems from a recognized university is mandatory. Candidates with post-doctoral research or industry experience in wireless communication will be preferred.
If Ph.D. is not completed, UGC-NET with JRF or CSIR-NET qualification is required as per UGC norms for Assistant Professor positions. Minimum one year of teaching or research experience in Communication Systems is necessary.
Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, and FPGA tools is essential for lab-based instruction. Familiarity with LaTeX for research paper writing and NS-2/NS-3 for network simulation is desirable.
