What You Will Do
As an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in Agricultural Economics, you will:
* Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in agricultural economics, including theory and policy aspects.
* Advise students on academic and research projects, providing guidance and mentorship.
* Conduct research in agricultural economics, publishing papers in reputable journals and presenting at international conferences.
* Participate in academic administration, including curriculum development, examination coordination, and departmental meetings.
* Collaborate with faculty members from other departments to design interdisciplinary courses and research projects.
* Engage in community outreach and extension activities, applying theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.
* Stay updated with the latest developments in agricultural economics, incorporating new knowledge into teaching and research.
* Contribute to the development of the department's research agenda and strategic plan.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, you must possess a Ph.D. from a recognized university in Agricultural Economics or a related field. Industry experience in agricultural economics or a related field is highly desirable. UGC norms and regulations will be applicable to this position.
