Organize workshops, guest lectures, and seminars on recent advances in plant genetics and biotechnology. Maintain accurate records of academic progress, attendance, and research activities. Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and university events.
Postgraduate Students
Supervise M.Sc. students in Genetics And Plant Breeding during their dissertation phase. Assist students in data collection, statistical analysis, and thesis writing under academic mentorship. Encourage publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals for academic growth.
Guide students in preparing research proposals for funding from ICAR, DBT, or UGC schemes. Organize field-based research activities in collaboration with local agricultural institutions. Support students in presenting their work at national and state-level conferences.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Agricultural Biotechnology, or related field with minimum 55% marks. NET/SLET qualified candidates are preferred; those without NET may apply if Ph.D. is completed as per UGC norms.
Minimum 1 year of teaching or research experience in a recognized institution. Publications in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals are desirable for career progression.
