Key Responsibilities
Teach core and elective courses in Managerial Economics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Prepare detailed lecture plans, case studies, and problem sets aligned with UGC norms. Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
Engage in high-quality research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals. Present research papers at national and international conferences. Collaborate with industry partners in Dehradun for live projects and consultancy assignments.
Supervise student projects, internships, and dissertations in Managerial Economics. Participate in curriculum design and revision as per UGC and AICTE guidelines. Contribute to the university’s outreach programs in the local community and regional institutions.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Economics or Applied Economics with specialization in Managerial Economics is mandatory. Candidates with a post-doctoral fellowship or research experience in business schools will be preferred. UGC-NET with JRF or CSIR-NET qualification is required if Ph.D. is not completed.
Minimum one year of teaching or research experience in a recognized university or institution is necessary. Familiarity with quantitative tools such as econometrics, optimization techniques, and data analysis software is essential. Knowledge of regional economic issues in Uttarakhand will be an added advantage.
Research & Publications
Develop research proposals in areas like pricing strategies, behavioral economics, and corporate decision-making. Seek external funding from agencies such as ICSSR, UGC, or industry partners in Dehradun. Publish at least two research papers annually in Scopus/WoS indexed journals.
Collaborate with faculty across departments at Tulas Institute on interdisciplinary projects. Organize workshops and seminars on emerging trends in managerial economics. Mentor junior researchers and guide them toward publication in high-impact journals.
Doctoral Guidance
Guide doctoral students in formulating research proposals and conducting literature reviews. Supervise thesis writing and ensure adherence to academic standards. Participate in doctoral committees and thesis evaluation panels at Tulas Institute and other universities.
Contribute to the development of the Ph.D. program in Economics by designing coursework and research methodology modules. Encourage students to present their work at national conferences and publish preliminary findings.
Salary and Benefits
