Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach undergraduate students (UG) in Entomology courses such as Insect Morphology, Systematics, and Ecology.
- Teach postgraduate students (PG) in advanced courses such as Applied Entomology and Insect Pest Management.
- Conduct tutorials and practical classes for UG and PG students.
- Guide postgraduate students in their research projects.
- Develop and manage the Entomology curriculum in collaboration with other faculty members.
- Participate in departmental and university-level committees as required.
- Maintain a high level of academic and research activity.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop interdisciplinary courses and research projects.
Master Level Teaching
The selected candidate will be required to teach master level courses in Entomology such as Advanced Insect Systematics, Insect Ecology and Behaviour, and Insect Pest Management. The candidate will also be expected to guide postgraduate students in their research projects and provide guidance on project reports and theses.
Required Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Entomology or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks.
- NET/SLET qualification or equivalent (if Ph.D. not completed).
- A strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in a university or college setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to departmental and university-level activities.
