Tulas Institute is inviting applications for an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in Environmental Science. What You Will Do
Teach postgraduate courses in Environmental Science with special emphasis on Himalayan ecosystems. Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions aligned with UGC curriculum. Curate syllabi that integrate regional case studies and contemporary environmental policies.
Publish research in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. Aim for at least two publications per year in high-impact journals. Present findings at national and international conferences relevant to environmental science.
Supervise MSc and PhD students in their dissertation and thesis work. Guide research proposals, field surveys, and data analysis in areas like water resource management and air quality monitoring. Ensure ethical compliance and timely completion of academic projects.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Environmental Science or allied disciplines from a recognized university is mandatory. Minimum four years of teaching and research experience at the postgraduate level is required. Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral research or industry experience in environmental consultancy.
UGC-NET with JRF or CSIR-NET qualification is essential if PhD is not completed. Tulas Institute adheres to UGC norms for academic appointments. Candidates must have a consistent record of publications in reputed journals.
Research Opportunities
