Day-to-Day Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Food Technology, including lectures, tutorials, and seminars.
- Conducting research in Food Technology, with a focus on emerging trends and technologies.
- Publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research findings at conferences.
- Supervising Ph.D. students and guiding them in their research projects.
- Collaborating with faculty members from other departments to develop interdisciplinary research projects.
- Participating in departmental and university-level committees to contribute to policy-making and decision-making.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior faculty members and research scholars.
- Participating in academic and administrative activities, including curriculum development and program evaluation.
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Food Technology or a related field from a recognized university. A post-doctoral research experience is preferred. Candidates who have completed their NET/SLET will also be considered if they do not have a Ph.D. degree. UGC norms will apply for the recruitment process.
Research & Publications
The successful candidate is expected to establish a strong research program in Food Technology, with a focus on collaborative projects and funding opportunities. They will be encouraged to publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at conferences. Ph.D. Supervision

Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will be appointed as ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Food Technology, with a salary ranging from Rs.55,000 to Rs.80,000 per month, as per UGC norms. They will also be eligible for research grants and other benefits, as per university guidelines.
