Day-to-Day Duties
Teach undergraduate courses in retail marketing, consumer behavior, and supply chain management at Tulas Institute. Conduct postgraduate classes covering advanced topics such as retail analytics, omni-channel strategies, and digital retailing. Design and deliver case-based learning sessions relevant to the Indian retail sector, especially in Himalayan and North Indian contexts.
Prepare and update course syllabi aligned with UGC norms and industry standards. Organize guest lectures by retail professionals from brands operating in Dehradun and nearby markets like Rishikesh and Haridwar. Lead departmental seminars and workshops to bridge academic theory with real-world retail practices.
Postgraduate Students
Guide master’s level students in retail management projects focused on local and national retail challenges. Supervise dissertations on emerging trends such as sustainable retailing, e-commerce integration, and rural retail expansion. Encourage students to publish findings in peer-reviewed journals or present at regional academic forums.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Retail Management, Marketing, or a closely related field with a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates must have qualified NET/SLET or hold an equivalent qualification recognized by UGC. A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience at the university level is mandatory.
Publications in Scopus-indexed or UGC-CARE listed journals are required. Experience in curriculum development and industry-academia collaboration is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Dehradun’s retail ecosystem and North Indian consumer markets will be an added advantage.
