What You Will Do

Lead funded projects under ICAR, DBT, or state schemes, ensuring alignment with national priorities like doubling farmer income and sustainable land use. Collaborate with the Krishi Vigyan Kendras in Uttarakhand to translate research findings into practical extension packages for local farmers.
Guide Ph.D. scholars in agricultural extension, helping them frame research questions that address real bottlenecks in hill agriculture. Supervise thesis writing and ensure timely completion while maintaining academic rigor. Serve on doctoral committees at Tulas Institute and partner universities to uphold evaluation standards.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension or closely related field from an ICAR-recognized university is mandatory. Post-doctoral research or international exposure in extension methodologies is strongly preferred. UGC-NET with JRF or equivalent national eligibility is required if Ph.D. is not completed.
Minimum six years of university teaching and research experience in agricultural extension is essential. Experience in guiding M.Sc. dissertations and coordinating field projects in the Himalayan region will be given weight. Familiarity with Hindi and local dialects of Uttarakhand is desirable for effective community engagement.
