Day-to-Day Duties
Teach advanced courses in Computer Vision, pattern recognition, and deep learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Curriculum design and syllabus updates are part of the responsibility.
Lead research teams on funded projects in areas such as medical image analysis, surveillance systems, and 3D reconstruction. Regular lab sessions and project mentoring are expected.
Publish research findings in Scopus-indexed and UGC-CARE-listed journals. Present work at national and international conferences to enhance institutional visibility.
Guide Ph.D. students from admission to thesis submission, including research proposal development and periodic progress reviews.
Organize workshops and seminars on emerging trends in Computer Vision for faculty and students.
Collaborate with other departments on joint research initiatives, especially in data science and robotics.
Participate in university committees related to curriculum development, research funding, and academic standards.
Engage with industry partners for sponsored projects and technology transfer opportunities.
Mentor junior faculty and coordinate departmental events such as hackathons and poster presentations.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with a specialization in Computer Vision. A minimum of six years of teaching or research experience in a university or research institution is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral research experience or industry collaborations in Computer Vision applications. UGC-NET with JRF or CSIR-NET qualification is desirable if Ph.D. is not held.
Publications in reputed journals and conference proceedings are mandatory. Experience in guiding M.Tech dissertations will be an added advantage.
