Job Overview
The Tulas Institute invites applications for the position of Professor in Entrepreneurship Development at its Dehradun campus. The role is a full-time position designed for candidates with a strong academic background and practical experience in entrepreneurship. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and mentoring students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Day-to-Day Duties
Design and deliver lectures on entrepreneurship development, innovation management, and startup ecosystems for undergraduate students. Conduct tutorials, case study discussions, and interactive sessions to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Prepare course materials, assignments, and evaluation frameworks aligned with UGC guidelines.
Evaluate student performance through mid-semester and end-semester examinations, projects, and presentations. Guide students in developing business plans, market research projects, and feasibility studies. Organize guest lectures, workshops, and seminars featuring successful entrepreneurs and industry experts.
Facilitate student participation in national and international entrepreneurship competitions and startup fairs. Maintain academic records, attendance registers, and provide timely feedback to students. Collaborate with departmental colleagues to update curriculum and introduce new modules relevant to current industry trends.
Master Level Teaching
Teach specialized courses at the postgraduate level, including Advanced Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital and Private Equity, and Digital Transformation for Startups. Guide master’s students in conducting research for their dissertations and capstone projects.
Supervise doctoral students pursuing research in entrepreneurship, innovation, and small business management. Encourage interdisciplinary research collaborations with departments such as Management, Engineering, and Social Sciences. Organize research colloquia and paper presentations to foster academic discourse.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Management, or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. A valid UGC-NET or SLET qualification is mandatory unless exempted under UGC norms. Candidates should have a minimum of six years of teaching experience at the university level, including postgraduate instruction.
A strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings is essential. Experience in guiding research scholars and securing research grants will be given preference. Familiarity with startup incubation, government schemes like Startup India, and industry-academia partnerships is desirable.
