Key Responsibilities
As a PROFESSOR in our Forestry department, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Forestry, including lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
- Advising students on academic and professional matters, including thesis guidance and career counseling
- Contributing to academic administration, including curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance
- Developing and managing research projects, including securing funding and publishing research papers
- Collaborating with other faculty members and external organizations on research and educational initiatives
- Participating in departmental and institutional committees, including curriculum and policy development
- Representing the institution at national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Engaging in community outreach and extension activities, including workshops and training programs for local stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records of teaching, research, and administrative activities
Who Can Apply
We invite applications from candidates with a PhD in Forestry or a related field from a recognized university. Industry experience is preferred, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in teaching, research, or a related field. Candidates should have a strong academic record, a commitment to teaching and research, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
