What You Will Do
Teach core and elective courses in hospital pharmacy management, pharmacotherapeutics, and clinical pharmacy practice at the graduate and postgraduate levels. Develop curriculum aligned with PCI and UGC guidelines, integrating case studies from local hospitals such as Doon Hospital and Max Super Speciality Centre.
Lead research in drug utilization evaluation, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and hospital formulary optimization with support from Tulas Institute’s central research lab. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed and Scopus, contributing to the university’s research reputation.
Guide M Pharm and Ph D students in their dissertations and thesis work, ensuring ethical compliance and timely submission as per PCI norms. Organize workshops on hospital pharmacy best practices in collaboration with state health authorities.
Required Qualifications
A Ph D in Pharmacy with specialization in Hospital Pharmacy or Clinical Pharmacy from a recognized university is mandatory. Post-doctoral research or industry experience in hospital pharmacy practice will be preferred.
Candidates must have qualified UGC-NET with JRF or hold a Ph D from a NET-qualified institution. Minimum six years of teaching and research experience in a PCI-recognized pharmacy college is required.
Academic Projects
Tulas Institute offers seed funding for innovative projects in medication safety, antimicrobial stewardship, and digital pharmacy records in hospitals. Faculty can collaborate with Dehradun-based hospitals for data collection and intervention studies.

Ph.D. Supervision
Supervise Ph D scholars in hospital pharmacy topics including drug therapy monitoring, pharmacy informatics, and quality control in hospital settings. Serve as internal examiner for thesis evaluations and external examiner for universities across North India.
Guide students in publishing their research in journals recognized by UGC-CARE and Scopus. Ensure compliance with PCI’s minimum standards for Ph D programs in pharmacy.
What You Get
The position offers a consolidated salary of Rs.70,000 to Rs.120,000 per month as per UGC norms for Professor at a private university in Uttarakhand. Additional research grants up to Rs.5 lakh per project are available through Tulas Institute’s research council.
