PGT History Teacher Position at Spring Field School, Haridwar
Spring Field School in Haridwar invites experienced educators to join as a PGT History Teacher, shaping young minds with a deep understanding of India’s rich cultural and political heritage. This role requires a passionate scholar who can engage students in dynamic classroom discussions while aligning lessons with modern educational standards.
The PGT History Teacher will be responsible for delivering comprehensive history lessons across various grades, ensuring curriculum adherence while fostering critical thinking. You’ll design engaging lesson plans that incorporate contemporary historical events, encouraging students to analyze past and present connections. Teaching methodology will include interactive sessions, field trips, and project-based learning to bring history to life. Assessment will cover both theoretical knowledge and practical applications, such as oral presentations and research-based assignments.
You’ll collaborate with the history faculty to develop interdisciplinary projects that link history with social science, geography, and literature. Regular feedback sessions will help refine teaching strategies to meet individual student needs. Maintaining a supportive learning environment, you’ll also mentor students who may need extra guidance in understanding complex historical concepts.
The role includes administrative duties like maintaining student records and coordinating with parents regarding academic progress. Attendance at faculty meetings and professional development workshops will be mandatory to stay updated on teaching innovations. You’ll represent the school at cultural events, ensuring history remains a vibrant part of the curriculum.
To qualify, a postgraduate degree in History or a related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an asset. The salary for this full-time position is Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 56,000 per month, with Haridwar serving as the location.
