PRINCIPAL – Faithful Steward School, Alipurduar, West Bengal
The school seeks an experienced leader to head Faithful Steward School in Alipurduar. The Principal will steer all academic and non‑academic functions, ensuring the institution delivers quality education in line with state guidelines and the school’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall strategic direction, setting short‑term and long‑term goals for the school’s growth and reputation.
Oversee daily operations, including administration, finance, infrastructure maintenance and safety protocols, ensuring smooth functioning of the campus.
Lead curriculum implementation indirectly by coordinating with department heads, monitoring compliance with educational standards, and fostering an environment conducive to learning.
Manage staff recruitment, induction, performance appraisal and professional development programmes, cultivating a motivated and skilled team.
Handle parent and community relations, addressing concerns, organising outreach events and promoting the school’s image in the locality.
Prepare and monitor the annual budget, approve expenditures, and ensure transparent financial practices.
Implement and review policies on discipline, attendance, health and welfare, maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere for students and staff.
Analyse academic results and inspection reports, driving continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions where needed.
Represent the school in district education board meetings, liaising with government officials and complying with regulatory requirements.
Utilise data‑driven decision making to optimise resource allocation, enrolment strategies and marketing efforts.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in a school setting, preferably as Vice‑Principal or Head of Administration.
Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, budgets and complex operational tasks.
Strong understanding of West Bengal education regulations and school accreditation processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Credentials
B.Ed or D.El.Ed is advantageous though not mandatory for this administrative role.
CTET or TET certification will be considered a plus.
Compensation
The position offers a salary of Rs.50,000 – Rs.80,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
