Daily Responsibilities

Prepare simple lesson plans based on the curriculum while adapting teaching styles to meet individual student needs. Maintain a tidy classroom environment and ensure all teaching materials are organized and accessible.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Assist in assessing student progress through regular quizzes, assignments, and oral evaluations to track improvement in language proficiency. Collaborate with other teachers to create cohesive lesson plans that align with the school’s broader educational goals. Participate in weekly staff meetings to discuss teaching strategies and share best practices for English instruction. Support extracurricular activities related to English, such as poetry recitals, debate clubs, or literary competitions.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend termly parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and areas for improvement, fostering open communication with parents. Organize occasional classroom events like book fairs, reading days, or language workshops to enrich the learning experience. Keep detailed records of student attendance, behavior, and academic progress for administrative review.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a bachelor’s degree in English or a related field. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. At least one year of teaching experience in a school setting is required. Strong communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and a commitment to student development are essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary of Rs.12,000 to Rs.20,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is based in Alipurduar, West Bengal, with full-time employment. Travel expenses for official school-related duties will be covered.
