PRT English Teacher Job in Cooch Behar, West Bengal | School Recruitment
The leadership opportunity
Epic Public School Kakribari is looking for a visionary PRT English Teacher to spearhead the English department. In this role, you will guide curriculum design, mentor junior teachers, and drive student engagement across the school. You will also be positioned to become Head of Department, shaping academic standards and school culture.
Strategic responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a dynamic English curriculum aligned with state standards.
2. Lead classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to peers.
3. Coordinate interdisciplinary projects that integrate literature with arts and technology.
4. Organize and chair the English faculty meeting to set goals and review outcomes.
5. Mentor new teachers, fostering professional growth and collaborative spirit.
6. Oversee assessment frameworks, ensuring data informs instruction.
7. Champion student participation in interschool debates, writing contests, and literary festivals.
8. Liaise with parents and community stakeholders to promote English learning initiatives.
9. Prepare reports for school leadership on department performance and resource needs.
What you bring
You hold a graduate degree and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed, with a minimum of three years teaching experience. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated leadership in a school setting, such as leading a team or managing a project, is essential. Strong communication skills and a passion for innovative teaching methods are required.
